IPmux-16: TDM Pseudowire Gateway

Converging voice and data over a corporate packet switched WAN using TDM pseudowire technology

Converge Voice and Data over Enterprise IP/MPLS WAN

Your Needs

Converge voice and data services over enterprise IP/MPLS WAN.

Our Solution

RAD’s IPmux-216 TDM pseudowire gateway enables large enterprises and industrial corporations to reap greater benefits from their economical IP/MPLS corporate WANs by employing standard TDM pseudowire technology to replace expensive TDM links for inter-site voice connectivity. In addition to transporting up to 16 E1, T1 voice circuits transparently, the IPmux-216 also supports wire-speed Ethernet bridging. Port-based rate limiting on the Ethernet user interface and VLAN-derived service differentiation improve network engineering and maintain quality of service.

Benefits:

  • Reduce WAN costs by deploying cost-effective Ethernet instead of PDH/SDH/SONET leased lines
  • Simplify network architecture using same Ethernet service handoff for both data and voice
  • Maintain high voice quality and all PBX features
