Data Network for Inter-Station Communication

Connect remote terminals via a 2 Mbps overlay ring on an existing SDH network.

Located at the server site, RAD’s Megaplex-2100 TDM multiplexer supports multiple services, including high/low speed data, voice and LAN services over n x 64 kbps, single or dual E1 and T1, DSL, or fiber uplinks.

 

At each remote site an FCD-IP access unit is deployed, delivering bundled services over an E1 or T1 access line. The FCD-IP maximizes bandwidth utilization on the SDH ring; supporting up to 30 terminals over a single E1 or T1 line. Together with the Megaplex-2100, the FCD-IP supports drop-and-insert applications over ring and daisy chain topologies.
